Were you born in the 1980s? Does synthwave resonate with your emotions? If that’s the case—or if you're simply a fan of vibrant purple and multicolored graphics inspired by “the striking colors and designs of the mixtape and roller skate era”—Jeep has something special for you with the 2026 Wrangler and Gladiator Rewind.

According to Jeep’s announcement, “Jeep brand designers, many of whom were raised in the ‘80s and ‘90s, approached Rewind as a nostalgia-filled homage. This generation was surrounded by vividly colored Wranglers, bold graphics, and early gaming and digital design, all of which are influencing today's culture across fashion, footwear, music, and art.”

The Rewind is included in Jeep’s “Twelve 4 Twelve” series of special edition releases for the 2026 model year, marking the sixth installment. The Rewind package is built on the Willys trim, appealing to enthusiasts looking to customize their vehicles. Jeep believes this will align perfectly with potential buyers interested in the Rewind. Initially, the package was introduced as a concept during the 2025 Easter Jeep Safari.

“Jeep owners have consistently felt a profound emotional bond with their off-road vehicles, and the Jeep Rewind directly taps into that sense of freedom and nostalgia for one's first car,” noted Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf in the announcement.

“Easter Jeep Safari has historically acted as our real-world testing ground for future Jeep capabilities and designs, providing us with immediate, unfiltered feedback from the most passionate enthusiasts in our community,” Broderdorf elaborated. “When we observed the enthusiastic response from fans to the concept vehicle at last year’s Easter Jeep Safari, we recognized the need to bring it into production. The Wrangler and Gladiator Rewind special editions are perfect representations of how we celebrate our heritage while introducing fresh, unexpected ideas that resonate with our community.”

While the production Rewind isn't as extravagant as the concept version, the interior design retains some flair. It features a dot-matrix-style shifter cap design (not shown here) and 8-bit style seat cover patterns.

Jeep stated that orders for the Rewind package can be placed starting in May, costing $1,900 whether it's added to the Wrangler or the Gladiator.
