The Ferrari engine for Monza will be five horsepower stronger.

The refinement of the internal combustion engine under the ADUO program and the new Shell fuel, according to estimates from the Italian press, will allow Ferrari to add five horsepower in the second third of the season. We reported that according to FIA test results, Ferrari's internal combustion engine lags about 4% behind the Red Bull Ford engine, so the Italian team is allowed to refine the engine twice this season and twice next season. Ferrari has decided on a refinement plan and the possibility of using two available homologation "windows." This year, the team will use three versions of the engine – it started the season with the first, the second may be presented at the next stage in Austria, and the third, which is already actively being developed, will appear around the home race in Monza, which makes perfect sense. It should be about five horsepower stronger than the first. It is worth noting that the ADUO system only takes into account the characteristics of the internal combustion engine, but not the electric component of the power unit, which accounts for almost 50% of the power. This year, there will be two more revisions of the ADUO rules that will affect the 2027 season: after the Hungarian Grand Prix at the end of July and the Mexican Grand Prix at the beginning of November.
