The Bahrain Grand Prix may take place on the first weekend of October.

The military conflict in the Middle East has forced the cancellation of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and the Bahrain Grand Prix; however, in Silverstone, Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali confirmed that he intends to hold one of these canceled races. Domenicali did not specify which particular event is being referred to, but according to Sky Sports, the Bahrain Grand Prix is planned to take place from October 2 to 4. A final decision has not yet been made, but it should be reached before the start of the summer break. Stefano Domenicali: "If there is an opportunity to announce the holding of a race that has not yet taken place, we will do so at the appropriate time. We really hope for this. If the conditions are right, and we follow our plan, then why not? I think that if there is an opportunity to hold one of the races that we could not conduct, we should take it. But the decision must be made before the summer break." Domenicali added that he is counting on holding the two final events in Qatar and Abu Dhabi on the scheduled dates. "Our task is to ensure that the events are held according to the announced calendar," says Stefano Domenicali. "We are monitoring the situation, as holding these races will be an incredibly positive signal not only for the sport but also for politics, and we are moving in that direction. If the races take place, we can say that the problems are behind us."
