Antonelli and Albon completed the Pirelli tests.

The second day of testing for the Pirelli tire prototypes for the 2027 season has concluded at Silverstone. As with yesterday, the focus was on the slick tire design, which must be homologated by September 1. The cars and drivers were once again provided by Mercedes and Williams – for the second day of testing, younger drivers were invited, with Kimi Antonelli and Alex Albon working under the Pirelli program. The championship leader continued the work started yesterday by his teammate, conducting comparative tests on the tire design. In the morning, he carried out a series of short runs, while in the afternoon he focused on long runs, evaluating the most promising solutions identified earlier. Kimi completed 102 laps (600 km) with a best time of 1:31.511. Alex Albon concentrated on the C2 and C1 tires. In the morning, the Williams driver conducted several evaluation tests, and in the afternoon, he worked on long-distance runs to assess the most interesting options in more detail. Albon completed 97 laps (571 km) with a best time of 1:31.747. The next tire prototype tests by Pirelli will take place at the Hungaroring on July 28 and 29, alongside Audi, Alpine, and Aston Martin.
