"During the session, we had the opportunity to evaluate the track."

Ferrari has become the first Formula 1 team to operate on Madrid’s new grand prix circuit, just under ten weeks before the venue is set to make its debut on the world championship calendar. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton took turns driving during a filming day, achieving the maximum allowed distance of 200 kilometers on the 5.4 km semi-street course. This session also provided the organizers with a chance to perform a complete operational trial ahead of the inaugural Spanish GP in September.

"A Formula 1 filming day with Scuderia Ferrari HP has allowed for the testing of the event’s operations, infrastructure, and safety systems in real-world conditions in preparation for the circuit’s Formula 1 debut," said circuit organizers. Officials indicated that the effort extended well beyond merely putting a Formula 1 car on the track. "During the run, we were able to assess the asphalt’s behavior, the circuit’s responsiveness, the curbing, the run-off areas, safety procedures, communication, coordination among different operational teams, the performance of track marshals, and the functionality of the permanent infrastructure that will support the event," a circuit representative stated, as quoted by AS newspaper.

Video footage released by Ferrari displayed Leclerc departing from a dusty pit lane, indicating that construction is still ongoing at the venue. EFE reported that certain grandstands, paddock facilities, and additional infrastructure require completion before the FIA conducts its final homologation inspections prior to the Spanish GP weekend.
