Lando Norris: “Max has earned the right to do whatever he thinks is necessary. He is a four-time world champion. And he has always been open, not just now. He has always expressed his opinion honestly, whether you agree with him or not. He remains himself, and I believe that is the right approach.
His departure would be a loss for our sport, as he is probably one of the best drivers in the history of Formula 1. And for us, his departure would be a big loss, because no matter how much he complicates our lives, it is always interesting to compete with him. It’s great when your opponent is a four-time world champion. You always want to compete with the best, and Max is certainly one of them, so it would be a loss for the sport.
The situation with the new cars is quite relative. Not everyone likes them. Newcomers who have just entered Formula 1 say that the cars are magnificent. Those who drove last year have something to compare with, so everything is relative. But I hope everything will work out. As I was just told, Max is aiming for a fifth title, which means he will be competing in Formula 1 longer than people say.”
