Oliver Berman (13th): "The day was challenging due to the heat – we haven't worked in these conditions with these cars before. It was difficult to extract the maximum from the car; it behaved a bit unpredictably, and with so many slow corners, it was hard to find a balance that I could trust. But I'm pleased that from practice to qualifying, the team was able to make a big step in working with the car. We need to make another such step on Saturday."
Esteban Ocon (18th): "Unfortunately, there were issues with the car in the morning practice, and I couldn't complete a clean lap with a low amount of fuel. The car didn't behave very well; the tires locked up several times – we have work to do."
