McLaren has currently rejected the new rear wing.
We wrote that McLaren brought a new rear wing with a movable flap "in the style of Macarena," like Ferrari, to the event, but they were unable to test it on Friday – and the team will not use this element over the weekend, reverting to the previous version.
Nick Holdy, Technical Director of McLaren Applied Engineering: "Unfortunately, we were unable to test the experimental wing that was brought to the track on Friday. The team back at the base did everything to ensure we received this unit, but during the final tests in the pits, it did not perform as expected, and we decided to dismantle it, focusing on optimizing the previous configuration. It's a shame we had to do this, but we will continue to work on this wing before presenting it at the next events."
