Elbon: The difficulties are related to the lack of clamping force.

Only Alex Albon from the Williams drivers made it to the second part of qualifying, and although he showed only the 16th time, he said he was satisfied with his performance. Carlos Sainz was eliminated in the first session, but he also found a reason for moderate optimism.

Alex Albon (16th): "I am satisfied with how I drove the lap in the second session. Between the sprint and qualifying, we made a number of changes to the setup, and they worked. The balance improved somewhat, but our difficulties are still related to a lack of downforce.

I don't think I got the maximum out of the car in the first session, but I definitely did in the second – it was probably one of the best qualifying laps I've driven in a while. Today we managed to get into a more normal rhythm, which allowed us to drive laps more consistently. At least tomorrow we will start ahead of both Aston Martin cars and one of the Haas.

But we need to understand why our initial setup was so far from optimal, and there is work to be done here. If the setup were better, we might have been able to use the tires more effectively. Tomorrow this will be even more important, as the level of degradation was high during the sprint.

It's difficult to overtake in Zandvoort, so I expect tactical games with tires during the race, and we will see a lot of pit stops. But let's see how everything unfolds on Sunday."

Carlos Sainz (17th): "When a sprint is included in the weekend program, we don't have enough time to address the issues, and we used the sprint as another practice session, during which we conducted various experiments trying to improve the balance.

During the day, the car felt more pleasant, and thanks to all these changes, it was more comfortable to drive. I think I drove a decent lap, and I was just a little short of making it to the second part of qualifying.

Tomorrow we will do our best to put everything together and have a good race, for which we need to extract the maximum from the car, and then we'll see what comes of it."
